Holly & Matt | Utah Wedding Photographer | Manti LDS Temple

I said it before and I’ll say it again: Congratulations Holly & Matt!

Here is how he proposed:He took me to a sentimental picnic area (where he first told me he loved me) and had a picnic. His little brother was hiding in the bushes taking pictures. We had food we always ate together during lunch breaks at school. He asked me to dance to the song we danced on our first valentines then popped the question.”

What a great day we had at the Manti LDS Temple! “Kneeling across the alter” she says was her favorite moment from her wedding day.

When I first saw Holly, she was already wearing her beautiful white wedding gown that she found at the DI!! She had her mom fix it just how she wanted it!

The reception was held in Star Valley, WY! Everyone loved the food catered by the Relief Society Presidency. The menu consisted of Ginger Bread and Wassail.

Holly & Matt danced their first dance to “When I’m With You”.

The whole day was amazing. Join me in wishing Matt & Holly a happily ever after!

Without further adieu, Mr. and Mrs. Krugman!

Jaci & Coltton | Utah Engagement Photographer | Wadley Farm

Hi everyone!
Let’s all give it up for one of the cutest couples on the planet: Jaci & Coltton!
Jaci told me all about how Coltton and her met.
“Our first encounter was in church and he saw me first, and I didn’t take a second glance at him. Our second encounter was at Coldstone Creamery where I work. We saw each other, and both of us felt we needed to know more of each other. We officially met in church the following Sunday, where I searched for him! I found him, and we have lived happily ever after ever since.”
She also filled me in on the proposal.
“I had started becoming impatient with Coltton in his timing in asking my hand. I became helpful in supplying subtle hints that the time was right and that I needed a time frame as to expect so that I can be looking my finest in my moment. The day of, Coltton so sweetly brought me over a red rose and white lily bouquet at my work where I am a dance coach for Carbon High. He was acting a little out of his character, but I thought he was being cute. I then continued running the dance practice, and went home quickly to change and to go my other job, Coldstone Creamery. While I was in transition from jobs I stopped at my sisters house to change, my sister Crystal intercepted me, and asked me how everything was and if I was going to work with my hair like it was, I insisted I was out of time and I was. While at work I received a call from my fiancé asking of ice cream specials for the night because he and his parents were going to plan on stopping by and having Family Home Evening, a religious principle where we spend the Monday evenings with our family’s. I was immediately excited but my excitement was short lived when I received a text explaining he wasn’t going to be going with his parents and that he’d see me when I got off work. As the evening progressed all of my closest friends and family was coming into my store! It was so nice to see everyone, my grandparents, my parents, siblings, friends, my dance girls even! I was now missing my man.. Colton’s’ parents showed up, with no Coltton, and Colton’s’ dad was even fumbling around with a go-pro. Then Nicole let me know very alarmingly that there was a toilet malfunction that needed my immediate attention. I went out from the back, and made my way to the front where I heard the voice I recognized, the voice of my Sweetheart. He was singing to me, “I want to grow old with you,” a song that he and I had sung at one point. He sang this while making his way to me as I was standing by the bathroom door which was a straight shot from the front door to me. He got to me and put the mike away, after telling me softly, “I wanna grow old with you”. He made his way to his knee where he looked into my eyes and with a love and fire in his eyes strictly for me, a love that rivals all love stories I’ve read about and watched, so was the look he gave me! He said, “ Jaci Kay Cook, I’ve been preparing for this moment my entire life. I love you. Will you marry me?, and be sealed to me for time and all eternity?” Of course, my answer was, “Yes!”
Jaci also gave some photo advice for newly engaged couples, “Plan ahead and be prepared! Remember not to get caught up in the little things. Your are taking these photos to let everyone know that you are marrying the love of your life, so act natural. Let everything come naturally. Once you try to force your emotion that is when your picture does not look genuine.”
Their wedding date is set for June 5, 2014. They will be getting married at the beautiful Bountiful LDS Temple. “I am most excited about the location. I am going to be sealed to Coltton for time and all eternity in the most beautiful place I know, the temple.”
They’re not just excited about the details, though. They’re also excited to spend the rest of their lives together. It’s so clear that this couple is head-over-heels for each other!
I bet you can feel the love through these photos!

Timothy Family | Utah Family Photographer | Helper Utah

Welcome back everyone!

I recently had a fabulous session with the Timothy family, Zach, Julie and Rylan. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception, either. This was a family/newborn session, this little one was only 10 days old! And they all braved the cold like champs!

We met in Helper. I love shooting in Helper because of all the rustic and different backdrops.

For our shoot, the Timothy’s wore Baltimore Ravens clothes to support Zachs football obsession and a Ravens blanket to keep baby Rylan cozy! I was able to work in the props and the outfits they chose, which really made for some amazing photos.

It truly was an amazing photo shoot. And if any of you are considering a family session or are prepping for an upcoming session, heed the words of Julie:

“It should be more fun than stressful,” she says. Solid advice!

Okay, on to pictures of the Timothy family!
